Synopsis:
The players of the German national soccer team all wear the black eagle on their chest, which is supposed to symbolize their unity as a team. But where today unity is suggested, for a long time the national jersey provided the opposite message. The heroes of soccer were supposed to be as German and as white as possible. It was a long road to modern diversity in the national team. In the documentary, players with an immigrant background tell their stories.
